Boo Your Neighbor!

Happy Halloween month!! I’ve been super excited for October and the chance to celebrate a holiday and bring a little magic to my kids’ lives. I’ve been seeing a fun tradition floating around IG – “Boo Baskets”. A special basket filled with festive goodies that you give to your child on October 1st. I really loved this idea, however, my kids seriously do not need more STUFF! I did purchase these fun skeleton pajamas and we totally had a dance party on the front porch in them. 🙂

Instead of boo baskets for my kids, I threw out the idea of creating boo baskets for our close friends and neighbors. Ella has a giving heart and I knew she would love surprising her friends. We headed to Target to grab a few supplies:

We baked pumpkin cookies (totally used the cookie mix listed above). And put the little baskets together. I used the “Hey Boo” printables from magicplaybook.com and we wrote a note to each friend on the back. I also grabbed a bottle of wine for my closest mama friends and “boo-zed” them along with the kids’ treats!

Then, we hopped in the car and drove to each of our friends’ houses to “Boo” them! Ella’s favorite part was getting to doorbell ditch and run away at each house. I think our friends and neighbors really enjoyed their treats and it got everyone in the Halloween spirit! It was a fun (and inexpensive) activity for us as well!
